What is “EXERCISE THERAPY”?
Well for starters, it is what Extreme Fitness Personal Training has specialized in for 23 years.
Our first client in the program was a long time area primary care physician who had suffered a stroke and was left mostly paralyzed on the left side from shoulder to toes.
He was turned down for exercise guidance everywhere he went.
He could not walk assisted or unassisted.
That was his goal.
We saw him every week for a well planned, progressive exercise therapy program (made uniquely for him) and he was walking with assistance across the gym in a single year.
He was our first success story of hundreds.
He was our first referring primary care physician.
Now we work one on one with doctors, and physical therapists not just for proper guidance but to help them move better themselves.

What is the difference between exercise therapy and physical therapy?

Physical therapy and exercise therapy are frequently confused, so it’s not a silly question!

Exercise therapy is similar to corrective exercise, but it focuses on chronic conditions, limitations and assists people in improving their overall health. Exercise therapy focuses on training to restore the body’s overall optimal function!

Physical therapy focuses on restoring movement and capacity at the site of an injury.

We are not physical therapists. They are our consultants, the backbone of our program and why our program is so successful and safe.

There simply is no other gym in the area who can offer this incredibly important service to the community.
